100% Honest!! I can't say enough great things about Raker Appliance and Harry Raker. We had a problem with our washing machine. Mr. Raker spent time on the phone with my wife 2 days in a row suggesting things to try that would clear the error. When none of that worked, he came to our house the next day. He spent over an hour trying to fix the error code. The repair would have been several hundred dollars and the washing machine was already 10 years old. He suggested purchasing a new machine instead of spending money on repairs. I appreciate the honesty and kindness of Mr. Raker. We will absolutely call them again when we need a repair man!

I had an issue with my older refrigerator that needed a resolution-fast and 'AFFORDABLE' came to the rescue ! I had a freezer filled with a large inventory. 'BOB' came promptly and came to the rescue ! He was armed and ready and, his expedience was high speed and thorough. Katrina who took the call was very impressive and accurate. Rafael was at our home within hours to address our malfunctioning freezer. He was extremely thorough in diagnosing the problem, and explained everything very well (including pictures!). He takes pride in his work and will definitely make sure everything is working perfectly for you. We will definitely use him again for any other appliance repair needs.

Contacted them through Yelp and got a quick response. We had a fridge in need of something (freezer wasn't freezing things while fridge was still cold) guy who came was excellent in communication and in explaining what was going on. He basically told us after spending at least 45 minutes taking things apart, inspecting, and putting things back together, that it wasn't worth the cost of even trying to fix it. The cost seemed reasonable and he was very professional. He shared his opinion about what to look for in a replacement.

No one wants to call a repair person but if you need one, reach out to these folks. Reliable, reasonable, and good communication.

I just talked to Lee (I think that was his name?) about replacing the control board on my dryer. I let him know that I had already figured out the problem by looking up the error code and watching YouTube on removal/replacement of the board - and was basically trying to figure out if it would be more cost effective to order the part and fix myself in a few days, or to pay someone to come out today. Aside from being highly responsive to my first call, he was genuinely friendly in explaining his flat rates so it was pretty clear I would be paying more than if I did it myself. Additionally, he recommended a better place to get the part I had already put in an online shopping cart with a different company.

I ended up ordering the board from his recommended parts company for about $100 less than what I was about pay for the item in my cart and with luck it will arrive tomorrow (as both he and the guy on the phone w the parts company said there is a chance it could arrive earlier than scheduled).

I will definitely be calling on this business when I cannot fix something on my own. I am not a big YELPER - only really post when stuff is REALLY CRAPPY or STELLAR. When a business is this honest and helpful without an expectation of getting paid, but rather focused on building good relationships with potential future customers, they get my five star YELP 🙂
